What a wonderful Sunday morning we spent worshipping together with the Khmai people in Pastor Vong’s church in Siem Reap. Even without speaking the same language, we knew the worship songs and joined together in praise—children, teenagers, and adults loving our Lord with grateful hearts! These are blessed moments that we memorize and then replay again and again when we get back home. Perhaps this could possibly be a small foretaste of what we will experience throughout eternity, united with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We serve a gracious God!

This year’s drama team, ministering with us for the month, are friends that we have visited with here for years and years—they are all children who were found abandoned and wandering about in remote places in the jungle. Most of their parents left them to try to find work in Thailand, never to return. Our hosts, Pastor Setan Lee and his wife, Randa, found these children wandering about and have cared for them, given them a home, sent them to school, and discipled them through the years. They are now teenagers with beautiful smiles and teachable hearts. Our Musicianaries’ mission teams have had the opportunity to spend a day with them on each of our trips over the years—playing together, singing and worshipping together, and assisting in some of their ongoing needs. That is why it is so significant to me to have them with us on this month’s trip and watch as they effectively connect with and witness to their nation about the love of Christ that they have experienced firsthand! I feel like a proud parent as I watch them ministering to their own people in a way that I cannot, and to know they will continue their ministry here long after our team has gone home. They really don’t have any idea how special they are, but we tell them every day. Please pray for them and their continued loving influence on others with the hope of Jesus Christ.

We got on the road early today to go to a rice distribution two hours away where we distributed 10 tons of rice as well as salt and scriptures. This was a special place for us because this is where our host, Setan Lee, spent part of his childhood and some of his relatives still remain there. After the drama team had presented the “Prodigal Son” Bible story to the hundreds of people gathered there, we were able to give an invitation for salvation to all of them! It was especially exciting as 11 more people came up to receive this special gift! We were able to pray together with them! The Lord has given us great freedom on this trip to offer His redeeming grace in these open, outdoor gatherings wherever we go! We are filled with tears of joy as we witness the response of hungry hearts that are being healed in this country by our Great Physician

This year when we met with the Minister of Social Affairs, they awarded our organization with two medals, the third highest in the nation, in honor of the on-going service and social assistance we provide for them throughout their nation. It has been a true blessing from the Lord to have their support for our teams during our mission outreaches over the past 14 years.

This morning, we traveled to Phnom Chat to deliver 10 tons of rice, bags of iodized salt, scriptures, and Bible drama presentations to Cambodian Army veterans. One of their four-star generals addressed the military families during this meeting.

We are amazed at the honorable opportunities the Lord opens for us during our time here. We continue to pray for His mighty influence on the lives of these individuals and families for His glory!

Many thanks to you for being a vital part of this mission!

The Lord is blessing in so many ways! Our mission team of 22 has distributed 35 tons of rice so far. It has been a privilege to give several churches this food for their families and to encourage them in their walk with the Lord. During our time with them, twenty-five people made decisions to trust Christ as their Savior and we were able to pray together for them! We also provided the local hospital 5 tons of rice to feed their patients. We had time with the doctors and hospital staff to encourage them in their dedicated service, which often goes unappreciated. This is an especially exciting beginning to our trip and we wait with great anticipation at the Lord’s blessings that lie ahead! Thank you for your continued prayers that are making a difference in precious lives here!

Our Musicianaries’ mission team leaves for Cambodia in just one week! It is truly a privilege to minister in this country each year and experience all the Lord has planned for us during the month! Our Cambodian drama/music team has been practicing their Biblical presentations to share with each village as we travel throughout the country. This is a highlight of our rice distribution program because most of the people in these remote areas have never seen a message portrayed in this manner. They sit spellbound, absorbing every word and action. Please pray that the Lord will touch their hearts with His truth so that many lives will be changed for His glory during this special time of outreach. Thank you for faithfully sharing in our ministry!

Human perspective sure is a “far cry” from God’s. There are too many days in my life that am so disappointed in my reactions, attitudes, and distractions. All morning long I’ve determined to focus on the Lord’s plan for my day and then human weaknesses awaken and want a lot of space. I realize, with no doubt, that we are no match for the power of darkness. I don’t think Satan minds our time of daily Bible reading as long as we’re preoccupied about today’s activities. I don’t think he minds our prayer time as long as we’re hearing the annoying sound outside our window, capturing our attention. He probably doesn’t mind our desire to serve The Living Savior as long as we’re irritated by squabbling neighbors in the next house and our junk scattered everywhere in the house! That’s when disappointment shows its face… Thank the Lord for His outstretched arms of grace and mercy! It is only His understanding of our human nature and His desire to offer forgiveness and restoration that brings renewed joy and meaning to the hours ahead. He is able to successfully direct us through the day despite our weaknesses.
2 Corinthians 1:3: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.
