Blessed in the Dominican!

Our Musicianaries’ team just got back from the Dominican Republic. It was such a blessing to be back there and see precious people that we are able to encourage and bless through our words, hearts, and practical assistance. Two of our team members went to the pre-school each day to teach and help students who live in very poor conditions. Another team member assisted in the special education site where the students have a variety of physical impairments and learning disabilities. They were such a blessing each day by loving these children and enriching their education. I returned to the neighborhood of El Callejon to continue the ministry with ladies, teenage girls, and children. We spent time in the Bible sharing God’s love and hope with each group and then helped them make a special craft for their home. It has truly been a joy to see the caring friendships that have been formed with each one of them through the last four trips there. At each ministry site, the Lord’s love reached deeply into needy hearts every day. We are truly grateful for the lasting impact that has been made on so many hurting people there for His glory! Thank you so much for your prayers and financial assistance as we share the love of Christ together.

Eternal Friends

Father, You have taken Bobby and me all over the world. You have given us a life-changing message of Your Son that can change hearts and destiny in any nation. Eternal friends are a gift from You!

A New Opportunity

Looking forward to being in South Africa during the month of October, traveling with my daughter’s family. This will be the first time visiting there and seeing precious friends without my Bobby…
It is a blessing to see how the Lord is opening several opportunities for me to minister to others during this time, which is my true desire. I know His Strength is perfect when our strength is gone.

Isaiah 63:7, I will make known the LORD’s faithful love and the LORD’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the LORD has done for us… based on His compassion and the abundance of His faithful love.

The Lord Is With Us

What a gift You give me each morning to spend time with You. You have taught me to come into Your Presence, reading Your Word, and listen as You teach my heart. Lead me through this day and guide me with Your quiet beauty to bless others.
Matthew 28:20, “…I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

Guide Me In Your Truth

Lord, let my heart break over what breaks Yours. Give Your children holy discernment to flee at what disgusts You and run to purity in our lives for Your honor and glory. Let me look into Your eyes every day, all day, and be guided in Your truth.

Psalm 25:5, Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long.

The Lord Has Richly Blessed

You have truly helped us this last month to minister to the torn people of this world. Amid the clamor of hardship, disease, and poverty lies their silent cry of brokenness. The sea of fragile bodies with stilled expressions gives a glimpse of the hope that has been drained within them. Frailty begins their day. What pushes them into struggled motion when the sun rises totally escapes me—somehow they refuse to give up. Their determination to continue life creates their obvious appreciation directed to the ones who have come to help them. My heart is in awe of their quiet strength and genuine smiles of gratitude for the rice and scriptures we give to them. The Lord imprints their pictures in our minds. His gentle mercy will prompt all of us to pray for their salvation and healing that only He can offer. As we look at the pictures of this trip, our Lord will open the place in our hearts where we realize the treasures of these amazing people and seek His blessing for their future. Our host organization in Cambodia reported to us last week that we witnessed nearly 100 precious individuals received Christ as their personal Savior and Lord during our ministry outreach! We rejoice with you at the wonder of the Lord’s grace.Thank you so much for all you have done for them already. God still has great plans for these individuals and this nation of Cambodia. You are part of that result.

You Are Lord

All glory and power belongs to You. Strength and honor is Yours. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord.

1800 More Families Eating — Thank You!

Lee Michaels | May 29, 2013 | Comment

Our team has been incredibly busy these last three days traveling hour after hour on “roads” throughout the jungle areas. Our jostled bodies feel those deep pits long after we’re out of the vans! But the hundreds of families that are smiling and eating, once again, make this small discomfort seem more than worthwhile! In these three days, we have given out 45 tons of rice in 5 different villages, feeding 1800 families. These villages included diverse people groups: church families, “boat people”, and those living on the Vietnamese border—all precious in His sight! It is especially rewarding to look through the crowds who are seated quietly and absorbed while reading through the scriptures we’ve given them. Many of them have never heard this life-changing story before. The message comes alive even more for them through the Bible stories in the drama presentation, as our team watches and prays. As we greet each village in a short formal ceremony, we tell them of God’s love for them and ask them to give Him thanks, through Jesus Christ, for the provision of rice they have received today. We are so blessed to encourage such humble people and to share His story of eternal hope with them. Thank you for your continued prayers and for helping provide this rice for them!

Road to Redemption

Sometimes the Lord gives us very special gifts in the most unlikely places. Today was one of those days! Our team caravanned into the jungle for three hours before arriving at our destination. As we traveled, our host told us of the beautiful story of the people we were about to meet. The pastor had once been part of the murderous Khmer Rouge regime when he traveled to the village of San Dann. Someone shared with him that it was Christmas time and he sought out a church to find out what Christmas meant. As he heard the redeeming story of God’s love through His Son, he accepted Christ and began sharing His story with everyone he could. Now Pastor Rim has a congregation of dedicated believers who had already been there four hours before we arrived–praying for us. I don’t even need to tell you what a humbling honor it is to be in the presence of these people. Their faces sparkled with the love of Christ and their loving eyes of appreciation penetrated our hearts forever. We wanted to be the ones to bless them, but it always seems to work in reverse. It is more than a privilege to meet those who say so little but impart so much. His mercies are new every morning! Taste and see that the Lord is good!

Taste of Heaven

What a wonderful Sunday morning we spent worshipping together with the Khmai people in Pastor Vong’s church in Siem Reap. Even without speaking the same language, we knew the worship songs and joined together in praise—children, teenagers, and adults loving our Lord with grateful hearts! These are blessed moments that we memorize and then replay again and again when we get back home. Perhaps this could possibly be a small foretaste of what we will experience throughout eternity, united with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We serve a gracious God!
