Strength in Stillness

Lee Michaels | February 26, 2014 | Comment

Live with purity, gentleness, and grace. They are not of your making, they are of Mine. This will require your continual attention to Me. I love when My children allow Me to dwell in them more and more, understanding their inability to accomplish My works in their own strength. You already recognize that “in quietness and confidence shall be your strength”. Continue to listen and follow My still, soft Voice.
Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

His Matchless Grace

Lord, only You know the riches of my life because they all came from Your Hand—countless, priceless, breath-taking. My heart offers You eternal gratitude. What grace is this that we should be called Your children!

Privileges from the Lord

Lee Michaels | January 30, 2014 | Comment

Bobby and I were always honored to be with some of the most neglected people in the world. Despite the outer humiliating shells that most saw, we had the privilege of seeing the beautiful hearts within them—their true being. These are the people we were drawn to, loved the most, and were so valuably taught by their humble lives. This is a treasure that can’t be explained. This is one of those treasures that has helped shape my heart over the years.

The stench of decaying flesh and infection is indescribable, especially when you look into the desperate eyes of those who bear the torment of leprosy. They are so grateful that we will sit with them, talk with them, touch them, and listen to their stories—about their families, their struggles, their desires for the future. They love to be acknowledged and touched because so few will do that. They have intelligence, goals, personalities and dreams just like we do—but their society and distorted bodies tell them ‘no’. We say ‘yes’.

The Lord has given us the privilege of spending time with these precious people with their beautiful hearts. They could teach us more about what really counts in life if we would just take the time to stop and listen. The Lord has used them to reveal His wisdom and valuable secrets of life simply because they are listening and still. Their thoughts and perspective have enhanced my life. I can see why the Lord gave us the example of stopping to spend time with them—the neglected people who have much to offer.

Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”

Where Do We Look?

You can shop all you want in the finest of stores and never find one package of endurance, a box of positive attitude, or a carton of gratefulness. The world never offers us what we are truly longing for. Instead, the Lord reminds us that this world is not our home and certainly not our “comfort zone”. “My ways are not your ways; My thoughts are not your thoughts”. And so we willing look to Him and His way—reading, listening, praying—receiving the proper perspective in our daily journey. And our blessings for tomorrow will come tomorrow.
Phillippians 4:19: “My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Share His Grace

Go! Represent Me today to a saddened world. Have encouraging words and a gentle touch. Let people know I am with them and understand their hurt and sorrow. Hearts are broken—so is Mine, for them. Comfort and restoration can be found in Me. Trust Me—I already have a plan to rebuild lives because I know all that is going to happen. Seek My face. Seek My peace. Trust Me. They will once again be filled with joy.
2 Corinthians 1:4, He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Consider Jesus

Lee Michaels | January 3, 2014 | Comment

When you feel like you’re having a “bad day”, consider Jesus… Before coming to earth, He never knew loneliness, mockery, sadness, rejection, jeering, hunger, fatigue, separation, pain, sorrow, debt, frustration, poverty, servitude, agony, grief, arrogance… Why would He ever subject Himself to these extreme circumstances?–for you and for me—redeeming us through His life, death, and resurrection. Consider Jesus… What a Savior, what a Lord, what a King!

Isaiah 53:5, But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed.

His Comforting Arms

When my children were little and became tired or frightened, they would come running to me with their little arms reaching up and urgently saying, “Me hold you! Me hold you!” That was one of the dearest things that could touch my heart. Immediately my arms were out-stretched and lifting them in “safety” as I spoke loving reassurance to quiet their hearts. I did not let them go until they were ready…. I must admit, they taught me well. So many days, so many circumstances, I realize I do the very same thing into the arms of my Mighty Lord. “Me hold You! Me hold You!” His arms, too, are always out-stretched, lifting me up for whatever time I need. He is the ultimate One who is love and comfort in any situation. I love those Arms. I love His devotion.
Matthew 11:28, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. “

He Is With Us

My Spirit fills you with Peace. Bask in the serenity of My gentleness. Your stillness invites Me to speak into your life. You seek Me as your best Friend and I will never disappoint you. This is what I intended to share with My creation, but few stop to listen. You can experience a small taste of Heaven–but, just wait, My child…
Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

He Has Planned Our Day

When the activities and demands of your day are overwhelming and seem impossible, look to Me to order your day. I can give you clarity that provides peace and My assistance through each moment. Rest in Me, precious child.

His Way Is Perfect

Lee Michaels | October 29, 2013 | Comment

We must remain teachable in every situation. When the Lord says His way is perfect and our minds just can’t grasp it, we are the ones who need to remain open to learn His perspective, listening closely to His wisdom and walking ever closer to The One Who love us.
2 Samuel 22:31, God—His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is pure.
